 First thing in the morning, you wake up, go for the first cup of tea and coffee – and there's no milk in the fridge. Will you have to get your clothes on and nip around to the local shop before breakfast?
Or, would you prefer to open the front door, and get much fresher milk from your doorstep? No hassle, and the milkman will even collect your empties, meaning that you won't fill up your recycling bin nearly so fast. Also, it wins on food miles, since from some dairies the milk has travelled less distance. Finally, most milkmen will deliver extras, including heavy objects such as potatoes, cat litter or even dishwasher/water softener salt, saving you even more effort.
