Most of us have an ‘ecological footprint’ that is fairly damaging to God’s beautiful planet. Why not try to reduce yours by cutting out both the transport miles and excessive packaging of supermarket goods by shopping for local produce.
As well as the various farm shops around, for locally produced food and wine try visiting some of the farmers’ markets listed below? And why stop there? Hosting an evening of ‘tasting’ either locally produced or fair trade food and wine could make a great Home Group or Cluster social event!
- Farmers’ Fayres, Saturdays 9.30-12.30:
- First of month – Linton Village College
- Second of month – Comberton Village College
- Third of month – Impington Village College
- Fourth of month – Great Shelford Memorial Hall
- Cambridge Farmers’ Market, Sundays 10.30-4.30, Market Square
